I have been noticing a lot of poetry on the site recently, and I thought it would be nice to have a friendly little poetry competition. There will be a weekly theme, and the entries will be judged by one of the s or s. This week's theme will be "Water." The deadline is Saturday, August 2nd. The winner will be awarded 25 Armor Points.
It must fit the week's theme.
It must be submitted by the deadline.
It cannot have inappropriate language in it.
It cannot be stolen (if you plagiarize, we will find you).
Carressing the land, swishing in the sand
Clears my mind or at least I pretend
As bands of time ripple in wake of my hand
Flowin, spillin, rollin
down hills and in oceans
makes the late day a perfect lotion
Sit back and rewind,
sittin still lost in time
Moving over rolling down
as I hear the wakes rolling sound
Playing the beats the land won't know.
It rolls like the wind,
Crashes like a wave
It is the only sauve of a terrible day.
Water, it's the only way.
